Swara Bhaskar opens up about her fears before marrying husband Fahad Ahmad, says “I thought mujhe Bollywood Diwali parties mein nahi bulayenge”

Swara Bhasker is an actor, who tied the knot with Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmad. The couple tied the knot in a court marriage in February 2023. The couple celebrated their union with a series of wedding functions, including haldi, sangeet, and wedding receptions, a month later.

In a recent interview with Couple of Things, Swara Bhaskar revealed that she had many fears before getting married to Fahad. One of her biggest concerns was whether she would be invited to Bollywood’s Diwali parties. Surprisingly, even Swara Bhaskar herself was taken aback by the number of fears she had before taking the big step.

Swara Bhaskar opens up about fears

During the conversation, Swara Bhaskar opened up about the time she was thinking about marriage. She said, “I did not trust myself at all. I always trusted the wrong people, who mostly let me down. There was also age difference. I just thought it was not possible. It was just too much. And it was really shocking for me because I am not someone who would care about ‘Log kya kahenge’. But I was so terrified of what my parents, and friends would say if I got married.”

She added, “The most shocking thing is that I thought ki agar hum saath ho jaaye toh mujhe ‘Bollywood parties’ mein nahi bulayenge, ya Bollywood Diwali parties mein nahi bulayenge (that if we are together they won’t invite me to Bollywood parties… their Diwali parties). This was actually what was coming into my mind, and I couldn’t understand why. It was shocking for me because I didn’t filter my words. I don’t care about other people’s reactions, and I am quite a frank person. So that was very humbling for me. I told myself internally not to deny it. ‘It is okay, you are feeling this, feel it.’”

In June 2023, Swara announced that she was expecting her first child. On September 23, 2023, Swara and Fahad welcomed their baby girl, Raabiyaa. Despite these fears, Swara and Fahad’s love has grown stronger with time. And they are now enjoying their new life as a family of three. Swara Bhaskar is awaiting the release of her film Mrs Filani.
